Two Majid Al Futtaim brands, Carrefour and VOX Cinemas, have been voted among the UAE's most positive brands for 2013 in the latest BrandIndex rankings.
International research consultancy YouGov's BrandIndex tool assesses the daily brand health of more than 500 brands across 20 sectors in the UAE. The rankings are based on a brand's BrandIndex Buzz Score, which measures the positive or negative trajectory of a brand by asking respondents specific questions related to brand awareness and perception. High buzz scores indicate consumers have heard something positive about the brand by advertising, news or word of mouth in the past two weeks.
Carrefour made it into 5th position in the top ten category of the 'UAE Buzz Rankings', ahead of brands such as Apple iPhone and Dubai Mall. Google, Emirates and Samsung also appeared in the list in which Carrefour registered 46.6 points, an increase of two points on its score in the 2012 study.
VOX Cinemas made fantastic strides in 2013 earning 6th place in the 'Top UAE Buzz Improvement Rankings' placing higher than Sky News Arabia and Pepsi in a list that also featured Google and Samsung.
