Majid Al Futtaim and Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates Celebrate Big Wins at World Travel Awards

United Arab Emirates: Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East and North Africa, and Kempinski Hotels, Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group, celebrated big wins at the 23rd World Travel Awards 2016 with three accolades awarded to Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates. The prestigious annual awards ceremony took place early this month in the Maldives, gathering an audience of over 250 hospitality leaders from around the world.

The Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates won the titles of ‘Dubai’s Leading Lifestyle Hotel’, the ‘Middle East’s Leading Leisure Hotel’ and was named for the third time as the ‘World’s Leading Shopping Mall Hotel’, cementing its position as a world-class shopping resort and flagship luxury destination that exemplifies the best of Majid Al Futtaim’s retail, leisure and entertainment integrated offering.

Following the 368 million dirhams renovation project completed in April 2016, Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates has seen the refurbishment of all 393 guest rooms, suites and luxury chalets, 17 state-of-the-art conference rooms, the placement of two new board rooms and catering facilities, the re-launch of Aspen, the hotel’s luxury lobby lounge, and the opening of three new restaurants and lounges, Olea, Salero Tapas & Bodega and Noir now totaling five food and beverage outlets. The hotel has also launched 20 stunning Aspen Chalets – a hotel within a hotel – that marry the contrasting worlds of the subzero snow experience of Ski Dubai and the warm waters of Dubai’s Arabian Gulf.
